For Athletics

Your school has teams, lots of them. When those teams play, players and parents get excited. Well, how would you like to take that excitement up a notch? Welcome to Snapshot Culture! With Snapshot Culture you can collect all of the digital images of the school’s athletic events and put them on your site in “albums”(Varsity Football, JV Girls Tennis, etc.). The players, their families, and their friends can view them, and purchase prints. In doing so, they capture the athletic moment forever. (Of course, when they tell their own kids about it, that moment will have grown in stature over time.)

Here’s something else to think about: when you hire a professional photographer to shoot your events, pay them well for their time but make sure to retain the rights to those images. It’s important that schools control their intellectual property and provide it to their constituents at a reasonable price. The school can then throw a veritable team of photographers (professionals, yearbook staff, communications department, even parents) at the school’s athletic schedule. That means many, many more events can be covered throughout the year, which is the easy part. Managing those images is another story altogether. Snapshot Culture makes it, well….a Snap!

Run this idea by the Booster Club. Booster Club parents could take pictures right along side of the school’s staff or yearbook. The more people taking pictures, the more pictures get taken. The more pictures that get taken, the more that get purchased. Perhaps some of the money that is returned to the school goes directly to athletics or the Booster Club.
